3D Design Curriculum Intent
The aim of the 3D Design curriculum is to provide students with the opportunity to develop a broad range of creative, practical, and conceptual skills through exploration of materials, processes, and design principles. We want students to foster an understanding of how to conceptualise, develop, and execute innovative 3D solutions, equipping them with the skills to thrive in both professional and personal creative pursuits.
Our curriculum seeks to instil a passion for 3D design by encouraging curiosity, imagination, and an appreciation of the diverse opportunities within the design industry. We aim to help students cultivate resilience, problem-solving abilities, and the confidence to learn from experimentation and mistakes, while developing advanced practical skills in areas such as model-making, digital design, and hands-on creative techniques.
We aim to provide a safe and supportive learning environment which encourages children to think in new ways, be creative and realise that “life is what you make it."
